Sarum Class

Welcome to Sarum Class
Hello and a warm welcome to St Barnabas School, our school community and Sarum!
Sarum is a mixed Year R and 1 class taught by Mrs Morgan and Miss Woods. On behalf of the Staff, Governors, children and parents, it gives us great pleasure to welcome you and your family to our school community.
Learning in The Early Years and Year One
At St Barnabas we have developed our own unique curriculum with a set of Reception Goals that we want all children to achieve in order to give them the best start to their school life. Our ambitious curriculum is written with children at the centre and where they are encouraged to explore and develop effective learning skills for life as well as the knowledge to form the foundations for all future learning.
Year 1 children in the class benefit from a mixture of child-led and play based learning alongside direct teaching which enables them to develop their knowledge and skills in line with the KS1 curriculum.
