Stonehenge Class

Welcome to Stonehenge Class

Hello and a warm welcome to St Barnabas School, our school community and Stonehenge!

Stonehenge is a mixed Year 5 and 6 class taught by Mrs Player. On behalf of the Staff, Governors, children and parents, it gives us great pleasure to support your child as they continue their journey through St Barnabas.

Learning in The Early Years and Year One

At St Barnabas we have developed our own unique curriculum which provides children with the knowledge, skills and personal qualities they need to thrive as learners and as individuals. Our ambitious curriculum is carefully designed to place children at the centre of their learning journey, encouraging them to think deeply, question, collaborate and become increasingly independent as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

In Years 5 and 6, children build upon their prior learning through a broad and balanced curriculum that inspires curiosity, creativity and critical thinking. Alongside high-quality direct teaching, pupils are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, applying knowledge across subjects and developing the resilience and confidence they will need for the future.
