HEADTEACHER’S WELCOME
Welcome to St Barnabas CE Primary School.
I am delighted to introduce you to our wonderful school community, where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.
St Barnabas is a happy, hard-working and successful school. We provide a nurturing and positive learning environment where children are truly at the heart of everything we do, while striving for the highest standards of behaviour and achievement. The success of every child matters deeply to us all.
As a Church of England school, our Christian ethos is central to everything we do. Our core values, Aspiration, Love and Belonging are lived out each day through our words, actions and relationships. We encourage our children to aim high, to show love and kindness to others, and to know that they belong to a caring and inclusive school family. These values reflect our belief that every child is unique, loved by God, and capable of great things.
We are proud to be part of Equa Mead Learning Trust, working in partnership with other schools that share our Christian vision of enabling all children and adults to “live life in all its fullness” (John 10:10). Together, we are committed to providing a rich, ambitious and inclusive education rooted in faith, hope and love.
At St Barnabas, we offer a broad and engaging curriculum enriched by opportunities in sport, music, the arts and outdoor learning. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, develop confidence and curiosity, and nurture a lifelong love of learning.
Our nursery is an integral part of the school and works closely with our Reception classes to ensure a smooth transition into full-time education. This helps children to feel secure, confident and fully included in the life of the school from the very beginning. We also provide high-quality and affordable wraparound care, including breakfast and after-school clubs.
The best way to experience our school is to visit us in person. You will find a warm welcome, a strong sense of community and a shared commitment to helping every child thrive. Please contact the school office if you would like to arrange a visit — I would be delighted to show you around and share what makes St Barnabas such a special place.
Warm regards,
 Donna McInnes
